Helping You Take Control of Your Future

Estate Planning
Attorney Ambrogio will help you create a comprehensive and customized estate plan, implementing strategies to protect your assets and minimize taxes. Whether you are seeking to protect your assets from the costs of long-term care, minimize future tax ramifications, or decide exactly to whom you would like your assets to pass, Attorney Ambrogio will help you accomplish your goals through a carefully-drafted Last Will and Testament and/or through one or more types of Trusts.
Other future planning considerations include who will make health care decisions on your behalf and who will manage your assets in the event you become incapable of doing so yourself. Having a Health Care Directive and a Power of Attorney in place will ensure that someone you trust will be able to make such health care and financial decisions on your behalf, in exactly the manner you decide.

Probate of Estates
Probate is a process that may be required when someone passes away in order to legally gather the deceased's assets, pay debts on their behalf, and make distributions in accordance with their Last Will and Testament. If the decedent did not have a Will, then distributions will be made based on the laws of the state.
The probate process also gives authority to an individual, known as a Personal Representative, to carry out the above-listed duties. An individual's Personal Representative is typically appointed in their Will. When there is no Will, priority for Personal Representative defaults to the decedent's closest relative.

The amount of responsibility can be overwhelming when you are designated as the decedent's Personal Representative. It can also be difficult to know where to start. Attorney Ambrogio will guide you through what is often a trying time, answering all your questions and handling the probate process from start to finish.
Real Estate

For buyers, Attorney Ambrogio assists with the title search and title insurance. She also discusses mortgage-related documents with clients to ensure the terms are accurate and that there are no unwanted conditions. She assists lenders in the closing process by obtaining and reviewing a title search, providing title insurance, preparing the closing disclosure, receiving and paying funds, recording the new mortgage, facilitating the payoff of the old mortgage, and preparing all mortgage-related documents.

Conservatorships
Conservators are people or agencies appointed by the court to protect individuals with diminished capacity. Specifically, a conservator may be appointed for an individual with a clinically diagnosed condition that results in an inability to meet essential requirements for their own physical safety, health, of self-care. A conservator may also be appointed for an individual that is unable to make coherent decisions, evaluate information, and communicate their desires effectively.
